1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a purchase from our store. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not transfer, sell, or permit any other person to use your account. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

2. Products and Accuracy

We sell two main product types:

  • Stock items: fancy dress costumes, wigs, accessories, and props sourced from licensed UK distributors
  • Personalised items: custom-printed t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and gifts made to order via print-on-demand

While we aim to display products accurately, colours and appearance may vary depending on your screen settings. Minor variations in colour, print placement, or finish can occur, particularly for print-on-demand products, and do not constitute a fault under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time without notice.

3. Personalised Orders and Contract Formation

Personalised products are made to order specifically for you. You are solely responsible for checking all personalisation details (spelling, names, dates, sizing) before placing your order.

Once a personalised order enters production, it cannot be changed or cancelled.

Contract formation: when you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order (usually by email) and payment has been successfully processed. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason.

All orders are intended for personal use. You must not purchase products for commercial resale without our prior written consent.

4. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by a clear statement (e.g. by email to hello@dressloud.co.uk) before the 14-day period expires. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us at your own cost.

Exceptions to the right to cancel:

  • Personalised or made-to-order items (e.g. custom t-shirts, hoodies with names, slogans, or images)
  • Sealed goods that have been opened and cannot be returned for hygiene reasons (e.g. wigs, hosiery, underwear, cosmetics)

These exceptions are permitted under Regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

For full details, see our Returns and Refund Policy.

5. Prices, VAT, and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes. Weekender Brands Limited is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged or shown separately on invoices.

Prices are confirmed at checkout and in your order confirmation email. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout and are not included in the product price unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

Payment methods accepted:

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay
  • PayPal
  • Klarna (where available at checkout)

All payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) or PayPal. We do not store your card details. By placing an order, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the total order amount including any applicable delivery charges.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We deliver to UK addresses only (mainland, Northern Ireland, and Scottish Highlands). We do not deliver to the Republic of Ireland, P.O. Boxes, BFPO addresses, or the Channel Islands.

Delivery timelines and costs vary depending on whether your order contains personalised items or stock items. Orders containing both may arrive in separate deliveries.

For full delivery timelines, costs, and event order deadlines, see our Shipping and Delivery Policy.

7. Returns and Refunds

We offer a 30-day returns window on eligible items. Personalised products are non-returnable unless faulty, damaged, or incorrect. Hygiene-sealed items (wigs, hosiery, underwear, cosmetics) cannot be returned once opened.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you have the right to a refund within 30 days of delivery, or a repair or replacement between 30 days and 6 months.

For full details including how to initiate a return, return shipping costs, and refund timelines, see our Returns and Refund Policy.

8. Unofficial and Licensed Products

Personalised designs: all personalised items (custom t-shirts, hoodies, etc.) are unofficial designs created independently by DRESS LOUD. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Butlin's, Warner Leisure Hotels, or any event organiser. Personalised event merchandise is created for customers who wish to attend these events and does not imply any official association.

Licensed products: fancy dress costumes and accessories from brands such as Smiffys, Disney, and Marvel are officially licensed and sourced via authorised UK distributors.

11. Liability and Disclaimers

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

Subject to the above, we are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of opportunity)
  • Losses arising from events outside our reasonable control (see Section 12)
  • Any failure or delay caused by your failure to provide accurate information (including personalisation details)

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to your use of our services or products shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the relevant order.

The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, strikes or industrial action, civil unrest, government actions or regulations, postal or courier delays, supplier failures, power failures, or internet or telecommunications failures.

Where a force majeure event affects our ability to fulfil your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable and offer you the option to cancel the affected order for a full refund.

We are not currently a member of an ADR scheme. However, if a dispute cannot be resolved through our complaints process, you may also seek advice from Citizens Advice or contact Trading Standards.

15. Privacy and Data Protection

For full details on what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, your rights, and how to contact us about data protection matters, see our Privacy Policy.

16. Shopify Hosting

Shopify provides the e-commerce platform but is not a party to any sales transaction between you and us, and Shopify is not responsible for the products or services we sell.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

For material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g. by email or a notice on our website).

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. However, if you are a consumer resident in Scotland, you may bring proceedings in the Scottish courts, and if you are a consumer resident in Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the Northern Irish courts.

Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
